addyourown is a wiki-based resturant guide developed by Mark Hurst of Good Experience.
The goal of the site is to provide a fast, easy, free way for people to find New York restaurants. The unique feature of Addyourown is that all the restaurant listings and reviews are user-generated. You can add to, or edit, almost anything on the site.
As you would expect from Mark, its well designed, clean, efficient and a great experience. Its still in Beta, entries are growing and covers Manhattan.

Hi Ross:

Great idea!

Two questions:

1. is there RSS for changes?

2. Do you have any server space to run a similar Wiki for Vancouver restaurants? If I had money, I'd buy a server and your software but I don't so I can run one for Vancouver on your server?

Mark should get together with the Jim Leff and the team over at Chowhound ( http://www.chowhound.com/ ) - they have an very active restaurant/food-oriented user community.

Very interesting, I think I recollect something like that in the past, I'll have to look after that.

I am new to the internet and I am surfing here and this is so cool. I did a search in the search engines on "accountants" and I found your web blog.
I am a chartered accountant in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and thus my interest in searching for "accountant" on the WWW.
I just wanted to see how the rest of the world thinks about chartered accountants and see what trends and technology are happening in the accounting world. It is quite interesting, the different things discussed on a website found by searching for "accountant technology" in the search engine.

Respectly yours
